Music of Club 1080

It's been a while, but Music Thursday made a triumphant return to Primetime with a special July edition to figure out the worst #1 songs of all time. There was no shortage of worthy tunes, but as always we had to pare the list down to a pitiful five. To enjoy the process you can listen to the entire hour right here. But if you are pressed for time here is our list.

The Worst #1 Songs:
5.) Ghostbusters- Ray Parker, Jr.
4.) Physical- Olivia Newton-John
3.) We Built This City- Jefferson Airplane
2.) Who Let The Dogs Out- The Baha Men
1.) Disco Duck- Rick Dees

We close out May with songs that make you just want to get up and dance, whether you really want to or not. Just the sort of thing that three pasty white guys ought to know a LOT about. It's Club 1080's "Best Accidental Dance Songs", so get your best dancing shoes on and plug in the Dance-Dance Revolution machine, because we are gettin' down!

Being big fans of the occasional throw-down, Isaac and Big Suke decided that this week's Music Thursday would be all about deciding the perfect theme to enter the ring by. The loyal listeners chimed in with many standards and some new hot tracks, but ultimately, we let the music settle the arguement for us. So don your best rhinestone and sequined robe and get ready for Club 1080's "Best Entrance Anthems".

The Big 3 Ring Entrance Anthems:
Isaac - "I'm Too Sexy" - Right Said Fred
Swag - "Bittersweet Symphony" - The Verve
Big Suke - "Green Acres" - Eddie Albert & Eva Gabor

Who says Isaac and Big Suke don't give back to the loyal listeners of Music Thursday? Turns out that the guys (with a little help from Journey-Honk Swag) scored some tickets for the upcoming Journey/Heart/Cheap Trick concert in September and offered them up to the Club faithful. Except....they made the winners EARN their free duckets by proving they knew their arena rock standards inside and out. It's the first ever Music Thursday "Finish the Song" contest! Get it right here and trust me, ear protection is optional...but HIGHLY recommended.

Ahh...the power ballad. That 80's radio staple that reminds us that even the most ardent, hardcore, thrash metal giants can have a softer, sweeter side. The loyal listeners to Primetime's Music Thursday know that the guys LIVE for a good power ballad, so how could we possibly refuse to give you the best of the bunch? It's Club 1080's choices for the best power ballads of all time. So give you hair a healty dose of Aqua-Net, slide into those old leather pants you've hidden in the back of the closet, and bust out the lighters, because we're busting out the ballads right here.
