Miranda is a 13 years old and captain of NW Selects Girls Hockey Team. Miranda is also on the Travel / Rep Team that consists of the girls that play in tournaments against other elite girl’s teams from California to Canada.
Miranda has 43 goals so far this year, and lead our Travel Team (part of the elite NW Girls Hockey Program - NW Selects) - to a 2nd Place Finish in a tournament in British Columbia. Miranda’s team, the NW Selects, lost in the championship game 1-0 after winning all of their games en route to the championship game (Miranda won MVP for the game). The NW Selects were the only American team in a pool of 10 teams in this particular tournament.
“Candace Scott with the NW Selects as well as the local Portland Jr. Hawks Girls Hockey Program, Miranda’s coach, loves the fact that she is a leader by example, giving her all every game and leaving it all on the ice. In keeping our priorities straight, it is important to mention that Miranda just received a 4.0 on her latest report card.”
- Chris Buck
Miranda’s goal is to play college hockey for the University of North Dakota or the University of Wisconsin, as well as on day be selected for the Women’s Olympic Team.
In her spare time she plays on a travel softball team, she wrestles on the Girls High School Wrestling team (she lettered in her first year!), plays travel Rep fast pitch and swims with her sister, Kayleigh.
