With just two and a half weeks until the US meets England to open up their World Cup Group C matches, the process of narrowing down the roster from 30 to 23 begins tonight with their friendly against the Czech Republic. The biggest issue for head coach Bob Bradley is the overall health of his team. Onyewu Oguchi and Demarcus Beasley are two of the more important players for the US squad both coming off significant injuries. The key issue, as always seems to be the case for the Americans, is converting chances into goals. Tim Howard leads another accomplished crew of goalkeepers, and if Oguchi is 100% he will anchor a more physical backline than in past World Cups. A couple of pre tournament results with 2 or 3 goals will go a long way in creating a confidence with this team to get out of their group and possibly win a round of 16 game.
