I've already heard Suke blaring about the building over two draws to open up World Cup play. While I will argue with anyone that the South Africa-Mexico match was very entertaining, it's a harder case for the scoreless result between France and Uruguay. The silver lining now is that this group is wide open with all four teams earning a point plus South Africa has scored a goal which could be huge after the next two matches. Don't expect to see things quite so close to the vest in the second round of matches for Group A. Whichever team can claim three points first will have a sizable advantage to make the round of 16.
Up next of course it's USA and England tomorrow morning at 11:30am in Group C. I hope you will come and join me at Mt. View Sports at Spirit Mountain Casino for our viewing party at 11am. The FAN Girls will be joining me as well, and we will be giving away a 50" flat screen HDTV. Then listen to Primetime on Monday as ESPN Soccer Analyst Allen Hopkins joins us from South Africa to recap the game and preview the Slovenia match next Friday.
