Well, we are halfway through the 2010 college football season… Crap, this has gone way too fast. Soon enough, I will be sitting in a poorly lit room curled up in a ball like a tweaker coming off a meth bender waiting for the NFL Combine to start just so I can have my football fix…. I digress… It is that time of the year to see how our beloved Ducks and Beavers are stacking up to the rest of the Football Bowl Subdivision in the all meaningful or meaningless statistical breakdown.
There are the people that look at numbers and feel like they can get a gauge of where there team is… We will call them our Rich Cho’s (in honor of the uber-stat oriented GM of the Portland Trailblazers) … Sure there are a lot of great stats that you can look at to give you a good idea how well your specific team will matchup with a particular opponent, but some of our Cho’s get lost in the stats. Overwhelmed by the numbers and get no real read on their team. For what I am looking at, don’t try and get all Cho on me. Just because one team might be putting up great numbers now, doesn’t mean that they will put those numbers up once they meet an Ohio State (notice I left out THE… Those douchenozzles can take their THE Ohio State and shove it up their pompous…), Boise State or Nebraska… We are just going off a National average.
There you go… You’ve been warned… Don’t go all Cho, Ohio State or Canadian Hockey Dad on me… I will get into the latter later…
