With the US bounced out of the World Cup soccer fans here are looking for ways to keep their soccer fix satisfied and fortunately the Timbers get a rematch with the Seattle Sounders in the third round of the US Open Cup tomorrow night. I was over at training this morning and had a chance to catch up with leading scorer Ryan Pore who is anxious for the opportunity to face them again, having missed last year's match with an injury.
The Sounders aren't having the year they envisioned either, and nothing would mean more to the guys on the field than some payback for last year's defeat. Plus, a victory could send them to L.A. to face the Galaxy in the quarterfinals. I hope you'll join me and get yourself some tickets to enjoy a crazy scene at PGE Park.
